Eldon James Borgen was born February 25th, 1953, in Rugby, ND, to Arland and Vivian Borgen. Eldon passed away July 22, 2024, at the age of 71 at his home in Rugby. Eldon attended school and graduated from Wolford High School in 1971, and enrolled at Minot State College as a music major. He was united in marriage to Mary Jane Tuchscherer in 1975, of which their beautiful daughter Amanda Marissa was born. They later divorced.
Eldon shared his gift of music throughout his life. He toured Europe with the International Music Camp, and sang with the All State Lutheran Choir and ND Honor Choir. Eldon also sang for many wedding celebrations and funerals throughout the areas in which he lived. Lately he joined his two sisters and brother-in-law entertaining and providing music at area Care Centers.
Eldon moved to Minneapolis and enjoyed a successful career in the advertising business for 30 years. Some of his roles consisted of Traffic-Art-Talent Director, Project Manager, and Art Buyer for various Ad Agencies; he ended his Minnesota career as a Senior Creative Services Buyer for Target, Inc. Eldon was known and loved for many things, first and foremost, his contagious smile, heart-felt hugs, and his beautiful spirit. He was a friend to everyone…a genuine friend, and was loved by all who knew him. If he was in a room, there was certain to be laughter, smiles, and a whole lot of love.
