By Staff | Feb 20, 2021

COVID vaccine registration from Lake Region District Health Unit Pierce County Health will now be online.

An announcement by Samantha Wentz, R.N., of the Pierce County Clinic made Feb. 16 said, “Registration is available for (patients) 65 and older, or any age (16 and over) that have 2 underlying medical conditions: Smoker, Obesity, Diabetic, Heart conditions, Coronary Artery Disease, Pregnancy, Down Syndrome, Chronic Kidney Disease, chronic lung disease (including COPD), Sickle Cell Disease, or immunocompromised.”

“Also, vaccines are available to teachers or child care workers at this time,” Wentz said.

“Please go to www.ndvax.org. Click “Find a Clinic,” (then) “Search Date of 2/25/2021” and then click ‘sign up for COVID vaccine,'” Wentz said. “After you see a time of slots available that work for you, click ‘continue.’ The registration will be complete and they will email you a confirmation and reminder the day before,” Wentz said.

“If you have friends of family that do not have access to the internet, please give them a call to see if you can help them sign up,” Wentz added. “Also, if you have already had your first dose of vaccine from our office, do not sign up for one of these clinics for your second dose. We will contact you for your second dose.”

“Please contact LRDHU Pierce County at 776-6783 with any questions,” Wentz added.
