Blessum receives Caring Foundation Scholarship
FARGO – Rugby High School graduate Jacqueline Blessum is among 26 health profession students at North Dakota colleges, universities and technical colleges awarded $2,500 Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota (BCBSND) Caring Foundation scholarships.
Blessum is the daughter of Alan and Karleen Blessum of Rugby. She is in her junior year in nursing at the University of North Dakota.
Dan Conrad, Chairman of the BCBSND Caring Foundation said in a statement released by BCBSND, “We believe in bettering the health and well-being of North Dakotans and one way the Foundation fulfills this is by investing in the education of tomorrow’s health care professionals through our Health Profession Scholarship Program.”
The statement added, “This is the fourth year the BCBSND Caring Foundation has offered these scholarships to North Dakota students.”
“Established in 1989, the BCBSND Caring Foundation (www.BCBNSND.com/Caring-Foundation) is a private 501(c)(3) charitable organization,” the statement added. “Through giving and investing, the Caring Foundation focuses on key health issues that help improve the health and well-being of North Dakotans and their communities. Caring Foundation staff work with grantees to support nonprofit sustainability, collaborate on shared outcomes and create lasting change.”
