Rugby JV wins State trap tourney
HORACE, N.D. – The Rugby junior varsity trap shooting team took home first place in their class during the North Dakota Trap Shooting State Tournament.
The Rugby team competed in the tournament on Sunday against other Class 3A schools. The junior varsity team took home first place with a tem total of 443. Their top scorer for the event was Shale Westad with a score of 96 and a reverse run of 65. He took home second place individually in the event.
The Rugby varsity team took home third place in their division on Sunday with a team total of 482. Their top scorer was Sawyer Bohl, who scored a perfect 100, one of only three athletes to do so over the entire three-day tournament. He tied for first place individually.
