The Post 23 team took on Bottineau Wednesday, June 28, battling to a 7-3 loss to Bottineau before defeating Harvey 19-1 in five innings on Thursday, June 29.

Rugby took a 3-2 lead going into the sixth inning before a big sixth inning for Bottineau saw four runners cross the plate, to give Post #42 a 6-3 lead. Bottineau added another run to secure the 7-3 win.

“We were playing a good solid game and then they had that four-run inning, and we didn’t have time to come back,” Rugby Coach Travis Risovi said. “It was a good baseball game up to that point. We just had a couple of errors in that inning, and it turned into a big inning for them.”
