Golf tourney scores win for Rugby hospital
One hundred golfers teed off in the 22nd annual Charity Golf Classic July 31 at the Rugby Golf Club. Hosted by the Good Samaritan Health Services Foundation, the event raised more than $20,000 for the Foundation’s “Give Elevator One a Lift” campaign.
“We are so grateful to all the sponsors and golfers who made this year’s tournament a success,” said GSHS Foundation director Cathy Jelsing. “It’s great to see this kind of community support for our local health care facilities and a wonderful kick start for our campaign to raise $250,000 to repair the Heart of America Medical Center’s main elevator.”
Winners were declared in two flights. First place in the first flight went to the Center Mutual Insurance team Lance Zietz, Hannah Voeller, Tim Pfeifer and Jaden Pfeifer with a score of 56.
