Lori Gronvold for the Tribune Rugby’s Trace Goven (no. 24) goes up for a shot Tuesday.

With a 94-47 District 11 win Tuesday evening at home against the Bottineau Braves, the Rugby Panther boys basketball team’s undefeated streak continued to 12-0.

The Panthers got out to a six-point lead early with a pair of three-pointers from Jaden Hamilton and Devan Michels. After the Braves got on the board with a three-pointer from Nate Olson, the Panthers outscored the Braves 20-8 for a 26-10 lead at the end of the first quarter.

The second quarter would see the Panthers outscore the Braves 29-16.

The third quarter saw the Panthers add 21 more points to an already substantial lead, while holding the Braves to just seven.

The fourth quarter saw the Panthers outscore the Braves 18-14 – with 11 of the Braves’ points on the quarter coming from Kaleb Wintermute.

The Panthers won, 86-46, against Carrington in a double-header last Saturday, and two days’ earlier won 83-46 over Nedrose.

With Tuesday’s win, the Panthers are also 3-0 in District 11.

As of Monday, the Panthers were still ranked second – behind Four Winds-Minnewaukan – in polling from the North Dakota Associated Press Sportscasters & Sportswriters Association.

The Panthers traveled to Towner last night and are in Bismarck today for a double-header against No. 8-ranked Shiloh Christian. The Panthers will host Velva on Feb. 4.
