Trapshooters headed to state

Rugby High School’s trap shooting team will head to the state tournament next month with several top scorers among them.

Week 2 total team scores for the North Dakota State High School Clay Target League’s Conference 5 show Rugby High in second place with 1,490 points.

Season averages to date for the male class in the conference show Blair Kuhnnhen in first place with score of 23.83 points; Kordell Kraft ranked second with 23.16 points, tied with Carson Mattern, who also had 23.16 points; Blake Haakenson, seventh place with 21.66 points; Collin Kraft, 10th place, with 21.33 points; Cole Vietz-Reile, 13th place with 20.66 points; Dalton Vietz-Reile, 22nd place with 19.83 points, and Zach Jaeger, 23rd place with 19.66 points.

Season averages to date for the female class in the conference are: Kyla Radomski, second place, 18.5 points; Amber Selensky, fifth place, 15.25 points; Emma Dragseth, seventh place, 14.75 points; Amber Schmaltz, eighth place, 14 points; Callie Oppen, ninth place, 13.25 points; Lauren Voeller, 10th place, 12.25 points; Rylee Geiszler, 14th place, 10 points; McKenzie Tuenge, 15th place, 9.5 points, and Monica Yoder, 17th place with 8.5 points.

The team travels to the Fargo area the weekend of June 15 for the tournament.
