The Towner-Granville-Upham Titans had themselves a huge win in Week 5.

In a region matchup, the Titans got to an absurd 24-6 lead at the end of the opening quarter, and a 40-12 lead by halftime against the North Prairie Cougars.

Senior running back Shayden Luna would be responsible for five of the Titans’ seven scores on the game plus one conversion in a 54-26 victory over the Cougars.

On Friday the Titans hosted the St. John Woodchucks, while the Cougars hosted the Dunseith Dragons.

– The Woodchucks found themselves on the wrong side of a 20-8 deficit at the end of one quarter, which then spiraled into a 48-28 loss at home against the Cavalier Tornadoes.

The Tornadoes’ defense held the Woodchucks to just single digit scores in all four quarters while the offense had a double-digit first half and scored 14 combined in the second half.

– The Dragons fell 68-54 last week to the North Star Bearcats. North Star hosted the Benson County Wildcats on Friday.
