Panthers fall to Cardinals, 52-6

The Rugby Panthers found themselves on the wrong side of an early lead in a Region 2 matchup.

That early lead then turned into a 45-6 halftime deficit against the Langdon Area-Edmore-Munich Cardinals.

The halftime deficit then turned into a 52-6 final score in favor of the Cardinals.

In the first quarter, Cardinals quarterback Simon Romfo connected with junior wideouts Jackson Delvo and Peyton Ullyott to get an early lead.

The second quarter saw the Panthers get their score of the game, with junior quarterback Jaden Hamilton finding classmate and wideout Devan Michels on a 13-yard pass.

Fullback Grant Romfo closed the game for the Cardinals on a 15-yard run.

The Panthers (0-2 overall, 0-1 in Region 2) hosted the Central Dakota Titans (2-0 overall) on Friday night to cap off Homecoming Week. The Titans won 20-18 over the Bottineau Braves to go 1-0 in Region 2.
