Madison Uhlenkamp has signed a letter of intent to play basketball for the Dakota College at Bottineau Ladyjacks for the 2018-19 school year.
Madison is a 5’9 forward and played her high school basketball for the Rugby Panthers. As a high school junior she averaged 13 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 steals, and 1 blocked shot per game. She was selected as an All-Region 6 player as a junior and as an All-District 11 performer in both her junior and sophomore years.
Coach Johnson’s comments:
We believe Maddie is going to be a great addition to the Ladyjacks team. She is a fundamentally sound player with a strong, athletic build that should be able to compete well at the MonDak level. We expect Maddie to give us a strong defensive presence in the paint area and greatly improve our defensive rebounding. Offensively she will give us a threat around the basket but we also believe she can step out and play a four position for us. We believe she has the character traits we value and will bring a strong work ethic to the court. Maddie is a good example of the type of student/athlete we seek to become a DCB Ladyjack.
