Braves fall to Firebirds
The Bottineau-Rugby Braves had their first loss of the season last Tuesday in a non-conference game on their home ice.
The Braves had the game against the Devils Lake Firebirds tied up 1-1 in the second period, after a scoreless first.
Carson Lovin assisted by Craig Peterson got the birds on the board first with 6:25 on the clock. Just five minutes later, the Braves were able to get on the board with Jace Scherr (assisted by Ian Amsbaugh and Nate Haman) netting a goal.
Peterson and Lovin would then help teammate Tommy Reslock connect the puck with the goal at the 6:02 mark in the third, allowing for a Firebird victory.
The Braves competed against Jamestown last night in Rugby, and faces Dickinson this afternoon in Bottineau.
