RHS cross country competes at Valley City

Rugby’s boys and girls teams took 10th and seventh places, respectively, at the Bill Jansen Blue & White Invitational last week in Valley City.

The Panthers had one girl make it into the top 20 out of 184 runners, and one boy make it into the top 30 out of 243 runners.

Quinn Neppl emerged as a leader for the Panther girls squad, taking 18th place (19:54). Tristin Lunde was a few spots behind, taking 36th (20:17).

For the boys, the leader was still Riley Zachmeier, who finished the meet in 27th place (16:52). The next closest member of the Rugby boys squad was Kadin Neppl (49th – 17:33).

The teams competed Tuesday at the Beulah-Hazen Invitational. Upcoming meets include one in Larimore on Oct. 2 and a home meet on Oct. 7
