Braves get second win
The Bottineau-Rugby Braves improved to 2-12 on the season last Tuesday in a 3-2 overtime win in Williston.
After a scoreless first period, Wyatt Haakenson got the Braves on the board first with Alex Hoffert providing an assist. Williston’s Jonte Ladue struck back over four minutes later (with assistance from Dylan Borseth).
Haakenson would play a role in the Braves’ next points, providing an assist to Don Wolf Thorson in the third period. Williston’s Ty Gerrard sent the game into overtime.
In overtime, Haakenson and Gabe Clements assisted in Jace Scherr finding the net to seal the deal.
The Braves competed against Vincent Massey on Monday and Mandan on Friday. The Braves play in Bottineau tonight against West Fargo.
