By Staff | Sep 16, 2016

Two more meets in the books equaled more quality times and finishes for the Rugby Cross Country teams. Competing last week at the Grafton Invite (on Sept 8th) the Girls placed second as a team with a 48, only trailing Hatton/Northwood/Thompson who scored a 43. The Boys took home top team honors with a score of 25 and second place went to Hatton/Northwood/Thompson, score of 71. Dawson Schepp finished as medals honors for the third time this fall, a time of 17:27.

Coach Jansen mentioned that both Hatton/Northwood/Thompson and Hillsboro/Central Valley will challenge the Rugby teams for the East Region crown come October.

Last Saturday, the two teams took on challengers at the Cooperstown Invite. Both teams finished second overall, the Girls trailed Hatton/Northwood/Thompson (by 17pts) again while the Boys trailed Hillsboro/Central Valley by 10pts. After action this weekend Valley City, the Rugby Cross Country teams will hit the course again next Saturday in Jamestown.
