9-man football round up
The Benson County Wildcats were just a two-point conversion away from a tie game last week against the Dunseith Dragons.
The Dragons opened the game with quarterback Hunter Gladue on a 15-yard keeper. Gladue would later connect with wideout Michael Two Hearts on a 50-yard pass.
The Wildcats took over scoring in the third quarter, with a short eight yard burst from Spencer Follman. Quarterback Will Rice then connected with Keaton Nelson three times, once on a two-point conversion following Follman’s touchdown run; a 45-yard touchdown pass; and a short five yard pass.
The Wildcats were at home on Friday in their game against the Drake-Anamoose Raiders. On Sept. 23 the Wildcats will travel to Surrey.
