Cross Country teams spring past competition

Competing at the Turtle Mountain Community HS Rolling Hills Classic last Friday, Sept 2nd, the Rugby Varsity teams crushed the adversaries. Both the boys and girls teams finished first respectively. The girls had a team score of 22 with Turtle Mountain taking second as a team with an 86. Team score for the boys was 21 and second place Four Winds/Minnewaukan had an 81. Eight teams competed on both sides, the girls had 32 runners while the boys had 42

Tristin Lunde once again was the top finisher for Rugby, as she took home second place. For the second time this fall, Dawson Schepp took medalist honors with a time of 18:09. “…put in the miles around town this summer and also spent time in the weight room,” stated Dawson, “I look forward to meet’s to push myself for a better time each meet and enjoy being out ahead of the pack.”

After taking part in the Grafton Invite on Thursday, the Cross Country Teams will be in Cooperstown today (Saturday) and next Saturday (the 17th) at the Valley City Invite. Below are the results from the Varsity races from Friday, Sept 2nd.
