Rugby’s Shooting Club on Target With Father’s Day Event

The 11th Annual Geographical Center Doubles marathon was held on June 20th & June 21st. at the Rugby Gun Club. There were 35 shooters who attended Saturday’s event to shoot 500 doubles. With the weather so beautiful, attendance was reported as double than the annual average attendance for this event.

Saturday Results:

500 Doubles

Class A: 485/500 Jason Folvag, Grenora

Class B: 468/500 Alex Krick, Bismarck

Class C: 429/500 Roger Johnson, Rugby

Class D: 430/500 Mike Schell, Devils Lake

Day 2 concluded on Sunday. 200 singles targets and 100 handicap were on the schedule. Again, the beautiful weather allowed for pristine shooting conditions. All 4 trap houses were in operation enabling the club to keep up with the better than average turnout.

Sunday Results:

200 Singles

Class A: 198/200 Darryl Howard, Bismarck

Class B: 195/200 Matt Monson, Minot

Class D: 184/200 Leo Locker, Devils Lake

Junior: 189/200 Matt Oksendahl, Rugby

100 Handicap:

Short Yardage: 94/100 Jaycee Howard, Bismarck

Mid Yardage: 95/100 Vince Mattern, Rugby

Long Yardage: 92/100 Jason Folvag, Grenora

High Overall for the two days went to Jason Folvag with 774/800.
