Submitted Young basketball players learn fundamentals at Warwick Workouts.

Basketball was in the forefront this past week in Rugby with the Warwick Workouts. Not only was this a well participated camp with kids from Rugby, the camp had players from Bottineau, Towner, Dunseith, Munich, Langdon, Leeds, Maddock, Rolla, Rolette, and Jamestown.

Not only did they have 40 kids from high schools around the area participate in the “Advanced Offensive Skills” program – HS Girls (16 players) and HS Boys (24 players), but they had over 106 younger children, boys and girls, participate in the Rising Stars Camps. With such a great turnout and the dedication the players showed for honing their skills, the future of basketball in Pierce County and surrounding areas is alive and well.
