4-H Shooter Jaeger Competes in Archery Tournament

A member of area 4-H shooting sports scored high at the third annual Missouri River 3D Shoot in Bismarck in early May.

Eleven-year-old Zach Jaeger, son of Gerald and Christie Jaeger, Esmond, shot 189 on the day in the beginner bare bow division. He took second to Wyatt Dunlop, Rolla, who shot 201.

Over 100 shooters from across the state, ages 8-19, competed in the tournament, which is divided by age (beginners, juniors and seniors) as of Jan. 1 of the current year. The top five individuals from each division and bow style received awards.

Bow styles at the tournament included bare bow and free style for both beginners and juniors, and free style and recurve for seniors.
