Braves drop to 0-3
The Bottineau-Rugby hockey team fell to 0-3 with a pair of losses at home last week. Jamestown beat the Braves 4-0 on Dec. 5 and Dickinson won 7-2 on Dec. 6.
B-R (0-3 overall, 0-2 West Region) picked up goals from Noah Grant and Luke Amsbaugh against the Midgets (2-0, 2-0). Grant scored in the first goal of the game on assists from Amsbaugh and Braden Pewe. Down 3-1, Amsbaugh scored the first goal of the second period on an assist from Grant.
Goaltender Ethan Clements (RHS) made 37 saves in the game and 29 the night before against the Blue Jays (2-1, 2-0).
The Braves host Hazen-Beulah at 7 p.m., on Dec. 19 at Al Wentz Arena in Rugby.
