Eric is the son of Cindy Kuntz and Mark Kuntz.

Kuntz has had a good senior season. He accomplished close to his goals and said he remembers at least one game of the season when he had it all together.

“The Langdon game I made the most touchdowns in one game and rushed the most yards in a game (of his senior year), ” said Kuntz.

“I wanted 2000 yards for the season and I was only short 19 yards,” said Kuntz. “So, I guess it was a pretty good season.”

He also scored 24 touchdowns this year which included: 22 yd. rushing for a touchdown, a kick return for a touchdown and a punt for a touchdown. He made three TDs and three good kicks followed for 21 of the 33 points Rugby made in the game against Larimore on October 15. During the playoff game against Milnor/North Sargent, Kuntz helped his team by running 52 yards for a touchdown.

Kuntz plans to play football in college, but has not yet decided where he will play. Some offers from schools have come in, but he has some time before he has to decide.

He knows he has to step it up when he plays at a higher level and that it is a lot of work.

“I’m willing to work hard,” he said.

Kuntz has had an outstanding football career at Rugby High School. Last year he rushed for 1,847 yards and made 19 rushing touchdowns. Last year, he was on the Class A All-State Offensive 2nd Team. He was the Panthers lone selection.

This year he received the local Mr. Offense Award, All-Region Athlete of the Year, Class A co- Senior Athlete of the Year. Kuntz was selected to the Class A All-State Football First Team along with his teammate Jason Goetz. Mitch Roerick was selected for the All-State Second Team.
