Dustin Hoffert made quite a turn- around at Rugby’s Geographical Center Speedway.

Hoffert, who finished second to last in the IMCA Stock feature event on May 21, claimed the feature victory on June 4, holding off Robbie Conway for the title. Nathan Burke, who won the season-opening feature, was third.

Layne Opstedal of rural Rolette was sixth while Rugby’s Tyler Dosch was seventh.

Two features – two wins for IMCA Hobby Stock driver Dana Brandt.

Brandt won his second race at Rugby’s Geographical Center Speedway (GCS) on June 4.

Brandt held off a charge from Dallas Rice. Ben Zietz was third.

Rugby driver Larry Vetsch won the Pure Stock feature, besting a field of seven. Westhope’s Mike LeMay was second followed by Tyson Page of Bottineau in third.

Rugby’s Brad Fritel and Tony Koble were fourth and fifth, respectively. Rugby’s Carter Tuenge did not finish.

Scott Bintz won the Midwest Modifieds which featured 12 cars. Jim Morlock, who won the first feature, was runner-up. Norm Reitan of Bottineau was third.

GCS officials have been pleased with the high car counts for the first two racing programs of the season. A nice crowd was also on hand for the June 4 races.

The next action is scheduled for this Friday, June 18, beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the speedway located at the Pierce County Fairgrounds.
