North Dakota kept its winning ways going at the annual Saskota Bowl which features some of the top high school football seniors from North Dakota and the province of Saskatchewan.

Both teams combined for 90 points in a wild 50-40 Team N.D. victory in the 9-man football game played in Rolla on the Fourth of July. Three Rugby area players took part. North Central Benson’s Daniel Luhman and Kyle Britsch, and Towner-Granville-Upham’s Devin Schmitt.

There was also a Rugby connection to the game as the officiating crew was from Rugby. Brian Lenzmeier, Wayne Stevenson and John McClintock, all of Rugby; and Joe Hoffert, Bismarck, and formerly of Rugby, worked the game.
