The Rugby-Bottineau bantam hockey team played to an exciting 1-1 tie in an international matchup with a team in Boissevain, Manitoba, on Nov. 16. The Canadian hosts scored with 29 seconds left in the game after pulling their goalie for a 6-on-5 advantage.

Rugby-Bottineau forward Gabe Clements scored in the first period on an assist from Chance Lemar. Rugby-Bottineau goalie Micah Hershey made 34 saves.

The Rugby-Bottineau roster includes Emma Arstein, Joseph Brossart, Gabe Clements, Carter Dockter, Jarek Dolbeare, Wyatt Haakenson, Nathaniel Haman, Jayden Handeland, Micah Hershey, Alexander Hoffert, Joseph Khalifa, Chance Lemar, Evan Nelson, Kyler Odden, Riley Olson, Jace Scherr and McKenzie Tuenge.

The team is coached by Jay McClintock, Josh Mattson and Brett Houck.
