Balta City Council Meeting
March 8, 2021
The 7:30 pm meeting was called to
order by Mayor Jundt. Present were
councilman Hallof and Rennock.
Hallof made a motion to approve the
minutes as read. Rennock seconded
the motion. Hallof made a motion to
approve the treasurers report as
read. Rennock seconded the mo-
tion.
Old Business: The city is waiting to
hear from the business that serviced
the pumphouse.
New BUSINESS: The city is accept-
ing bids for grass cutting in the park,
around the former post office and
around the dumpster. Please submit
bids to any board member or me
and they will be opened on April
12th our next town board meeting.
Also at our next meeting the tax
equalization director will be avail-
able to discuss any issues you may
have. The board approved paying
the bills; Rugby Post Office
$55.00,Circle Sanitation $ 548.00,
Northern Plains Electric $408.83,
and Tribune $18.50. No other busi-
ness before the board Hallof made a
motion to adjourn the meeting. Ren-
nock seconded the motion.

CALL FOR BIDS
Notice is hereby given that sealed
bids will be received at the office of
Pierce County Auditor, Rugby, North
Dakota, as follows:
1. Claying and Graveling – bids to be
opened at the hour of 9:30 A.M.
April 6, 2021;
2. Machine Hire for building roads,
approaches, spot work such as lay-
ing culverts and other road repair,
with bids to be opened 9:30 A.M.
April 6, 2021.

opening time indicated for the

NOTICE OF CULVERT BIDS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that
the Pierce County, North Dakota,
Board of County Commissioners will
receive bids for furnishing metal and
concrete culverts for the year 2021.
Bids will be opened on April 6, 2021
at 10:45 A.M..
Bids shall be for sizes 12 inch
through 96 inch, and must state the
price per lineal foot, together with
gauge and weight per foot. Prices to
be prepaid and delivered to location
in Pierce County as requested, and
in carload or less than carload lots.
Each bid must be in sealed en-
velope, addressed to the County Au-
ditor, 240 SE 2nd St, Suite 6 Rugby,
ND 58368, and marked “Bid for Me-
tal culvert” or “Bid for Concrete Cul-
verts”, as the case may be.

Public Notice
As part of the federal requirement
pursuant to Rail Safety Improvement
Act (RSIA) of 2008 and Section 106
of the National Historic Preservation
Act (NHPA), CP wishes to inform
the general public of one (1) 40-foot
Positive Train Control tower installa-
tion within the CP PORTAL Subdivi-
sion in Pierce County, North Dakota.
The tower is installed in disturbed
land along the railroad right-of-way.
Tower #40910 is located in
Anamoose at railroad mile post
409.10 northeast of the intersection
of US Highway 52 and 19th Ave NE.
The tower includes antennae for Po-
sitive Train Control (PTC) applica-
tions along with other railroad com-
munication requirements. If
members of the public would like to
submit comments regarding the po-
tential for the pole to cause adverse
effects to historic properties they
may do so by contacting CP’s Com-
munity Connect Line (Tel:
1-800-766-7912;
community_connect@cpr.ca). Com-
ments must be received within 30
days of the publication of this Notice.
