Keep Rugby growing, keep Rugby safe
Jodie Kirchofner, Rugby
Let’s keep Rugby growing. Let’s keep Rugby safe.
As a business owner in the community, I would like to express how important growth in our community is to all businesses in our quaint small town.
I am not originally from here and to be honest, it was a hard transition from a large community to a small one. But, in the last 16 years I have been here, my love for Rugby has only grown! Grown with a passion to keep our community prospering, grown with ambition to strengthen our economy and now grown with motivation to keep our community safe and stable.
A quote we have often spoken in the past few months is, “A town that isn’t growing is dying.” One of the most attractive things to parents looking to choose a community is how their kids will be raised and educated. We must keep Rugby growing!
As a mother, I would like to express how important it is to keep our children and community safe. Sometimes, we think things are “good enough.” Sometimes we think, “Why do we need things to be different when it worked before?” Let me ask you this: Is anything the same as it was before? Did we have to wear seat belts? Were we in car seats? Did we wear helmets? Did we learn the same? The answer to all these questions is simply NO!
The world is not the same as it used to be and we need to keep up or else we will fall off! You know the saying, “Get on the bus or get off?” We must get on the bus.
Our elementary school is bursting at the seams! We have kids learning in the hallways. Our kids are having band class in the cafeteria. It’s important to have a safe pickup and drop off area. Our kids are our community’s future!
So, what do you say? Are our kids worth it? Should we keep our community growing?
Vote yes on December 1 for the bond referendum!
Thank you.
