Hats off to the County Commissioners for denying the abatement applications to the land that was purchased for $198,000 in 2015. How can anyone expect the true and full value go from $198,000 to $2,302?

I spent 10 years on the City Council and do not recall any special deal regarding this property as being ag-related.

Councilman Lotvedt, in the July 10 minutes you stated that the City Assessor must follow the law, but the City Council does not have to follow the law. In the 10 years that I was on the Council, I never heard such a remark.
