Sheriff Lunde expresses thanks
I would like to express a very sincere thank you to voters who came out and supported me in the primary election and also to those who allowed me to put signs in their yard. Serving Pierce County for the past 15 years has been my livelihood. My job as your sheriff is what has made it possible for me to stay and raise my family here, close to relatives, in the community that we love.
As with any job, my position has come with some challenges. During a period of time in this term, I was forced to take medical leave. It was a very trying time for me and my family. I would like to thank those who supported me through that time. It was a long road of testing to finally diagnose me with Sleep Apnea, which was causing me debilitating migraines. I have been using a C-pap machine and am glad my migraines have subsided and I am feeling better than ever.
With the challenges I have faced this term, I look forward to using my experience to better serve the residents of Pierce County in another term. Due to not being able to campaign while I am in uniform, my door-to-door visits have been limited. I will be taking some time to visit with people of the county in the upcoming months. Please feel free to come to me with any questions you may have.
In the end, the election of Pierce County Sheriff should be about honesty, character and trustworthiness. One of my greatest honors has been serving you as Sheriff. Please help me continue this honor with your support in the November election.
