Last Thursday, October 3, 2013, my wife and I were traveling to her family homestead just southwest of Rolette. This trip was intended to be a “getting back to her roots” and waterfowl hunting trip. We recently purchased a used RV motor home from a dealer and had a new windshield installed prior to departing from South Dakota. As we traveled west of Grand Forks on Hwy 2 we noticed the driver’s side windshield coming loose and were in a precarious situation.

We arrived in Rugby at noon and were very relieved to be somewhere that may be able to assist us. We were directed to Hwy 2 Collision Center, and particularly to Steve Nelson. After returning from his lunch break, it was obvious that Steve had more than a full day of activities already planned for the rest of the afternoon. He listened to our situation with empathy, told us that he would immediately pull his team off their assigned projects and take care of us. Removing and reinstalling this windshield was no easy task, and it took three able bodied men to muscle it out and back into place. We observed some excellent teamwork and communication with Steve and his group. In today’s crazy world, it is a rare opportunity to meet such excellence in service and care. We want to thank Steve and his complete team for all they did to salvage our day and meet our destination before sundown. The citizens of Rugby have a wonderful resource in your community with Hwy 2 Collision Center. We enjoyed an excellent hunting experience and fostered many new relationships in my wife’s birthplace community. The people of North Dakota are some of the most approachable and nicest folks we’ve met in a very long time. We’re proud to have met you and look forward to our return trips next year.

On September 17, 2013, I was passing through Rugby, ND, on a work related trip. I ran into some auto trouble with a tire valve, sensor, and low tire pressure. I was concerned for safety with traveling alone. I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation for the staff at D&S Motors in Rugby, who were extremely friendly and helpful. They scheduled my work car for immediate service so I would make it to my meeting on time. I haven’t experienced customer service like that from an automotive company in ages. Thank you so much to D&S Motors!
