CHANGE!It is always a tough one for most of us in North Dakota. Conservative, rural people who always want the same thing we had last time. I’m no different.

Anytime there is a major change in someone’s life, it usually affects other people around them. I’m sure that neither one of you will do things the same way they have been done in the past and that’s OK. I would bet that both of you will be overwhelmed with work, ideas and people who are wondering why you do things the way you do. Our community, including myself, needs to take a deep breath, sit back and let you adjust to your new jobs. You will do a great job.

I just wanted to say a warm WELCOME to two new residents in Rugby, Terri Kelly Barta, new editor of the Pierce County Tribune, and Shelley Block, new Greater Rugby Area Chamber Executive. Have a seat, buckle yourself in, put your backrest in an upright position. You may think that it’s a bumpy ride, but you will soon rise above the clouds and see clear skies. Hang in there, you’ll do fine! Welcome to Rugby!
