SERVING OUR VETERANS: Veterans honor flights for 2020
The Veterans Honor Flight of North Dakota/Minnesota announced that applications will now be accepted from veterans who served through May 7, 1975. That includes veterans who served during the Vietnam War. If a Vietnam veteran previously applied, and did not serve through 1959, they are being asked to re-apply. This is a two-day event for a trip to Washington, D.C., for veterans to visit their war memorials.
The ND/MN Honor Flight also announced there will be three flights in 2020:
– From Fargo on April 26-27, 2020
– From Fargo on September 27-28, 2020
– From Grand Forks on October 25-26, 2020
Veterans Honor Flight of North Dakota and Minnesota is a non-profit organization created solely to honor America’s veterans for their sacrifices. Top priority is given to senior veterans from World War II and Korea, along with veterans from any war who may be terminally ill. The flight transports our veterans to Washington, D.C., to visit and reflect at their memorials. There is no cost to the veteran for the airfare, hotel costs and accommodations. It is completely free to the veteran. The flight also provides medical staff to assist the veterans with special needs.
