Those veterans located near CBOC’s can visit their CBOC (Minot and Devils Lake in our area) and attend via video conference. The Advanced Care Planning will offer veterans, spouses and family an opportunity to: complete a health care directive that lets your providers and family know what your personal values are; complete an advanced directive which lets you make preferences about your health care; and determine who will speak for you if you cannot speak for yourself.

Applications are now being taken for the North Dakota Native Veterans Honor Flight. The Honor Flight recognizes all American veterans for their sacrifices and achievements, flying them to Washington D.C. to see their respective Memorial. This is provided at no cost to the veteran. Top priority will be given to those World War II veterans who have not yet had a trip, followed by Korean War veterans and terminally ill veterans from all wars. For more information, contact them at 701-477-8995.
Please save these dates and events should you be interested in attending. Feel free to contact me should you need further information. Despite the negative publicity the VA has received over the past years, it is good to know they are still attempting to assist all veterans, including those in our state of North Dakota.
