What’s Going On In Rugby?
Planning an event? Or trying to find when an event will happen?
We have a great Chamber of Commerce website at www.rugbynorthdakota.com. Checking this site will help you avoid conflicts and you can see what other groups have scheduled and when.
Our Pierce County Fair celebrates its 100th anniversary this summer. Plans are in the works for food booths, rides, and all the usual things you expect at a fair. Plus extras. Listen for announcements. This year is special.
Keep tuned in for the Rugby High School/All-School Reunion events. I am so excited. July 1 to 3 will be a busy time. We are expecting 1,500 to 3,000 alumni, friends and family to attend this year. This is a great time to show a big WELCOME and to market our city and businesses.
The Rugby Lions Club is hosting their Lions North Dakota State convention in October. Most of the events will be at the Armory and High School. Usually this convention is held in one of the bigger cities; we are a smallest ever to host this event.
Let’s not forget about the children’s Summer Reading Program at our library, the Lions Music-in-the-Park, and all the events at our wonderful Prairie Village Museum. As soon as the news is given to me, it is posted on the community calendar.
Recently released movies are shown every weekend at the historic Lyric Theater. All movies are listed on the website as soon as the titles are confirmed.
Geographical Center Day will be held in September along with the Daryl Kuhnhenn Memorial Ride.
We really want to keep the calendar as up-to-date as possible to reduce scheduling conflicts. Phone me, Shelley at the Chamber of Commerce office, 776-5846, or email firstname.lastname@example.org and let’s get your event on the chamber calendar. Sales are listed in the Hot Deals section.
Plans are already underway for many exciting happenings in 2016, check out our website.
