Damian Reiter
Damian Allen Reiter, of Rugby and Devils Lake, North Dakota, passed away on June 1, 2026 at the age of 52.
Damian was born on January 5, 1974, in Fargo, North Dakota, to Carol (Kirchofner) Reiter and Allen Reiter. He graduated from Rugby High School in 1992 and later attended the University of Mary in Bismarck, graduating in 1996.
Damian dedicated many years of his career to Otter Tail Power Company, where he worked from 1996 until 2026.
He was a man who truly loved the outdoors and found peace in nature. Whether sitting in a deer stand or dropping a line in the water, Damian cherished the quiet beauty of the outdoors. An avid hunter and fisherman, he was happiest spending time outside doing the things he loved most.
Damian also loved working with his hands. He enjoyed working on cars, fixing things, and helping others with projects whenever he could. He had a knack for fixing things and took pride in hard work and craftsmanship.
He is survived by his son, Andrew Reiter of Grand Forks, North Dakota; his mother, Carol (Kirchofner) Reiter; his father, Allen Reiter; his brother, Cory Reiter; and other family members and friends who will deeply miss him.
Damian will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, his hardworking spirit, and the quiet kindness he shared with those around him.
A Celebration of Life for Damian on Thursday, June 25, 2026 beginning at 7 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Devils Lake, ND.
