Donald “BO” Scheet

Donald “BO” Scheet, 75 of Rugby passed away on Friday, April 24, 2026 at the Heart of America Medical Center in Rugby, North Dakota. He was born on September 15, 1950 to Gabriel “Gabe” and Irene (Burgard) Scheet.

Bo proudly served in the United States Army from October 16, 1969 to August 30, 1971. Following his military service, he built a career in construction, specializing in concrete work and later finished his working years with Strata.

He was married to Linda (Stutrud) Scheet, and together they raised three children, Dallas, Zachery and Sierra. Bo was a free spirit, a hippie at heart, who loved music and valued time spent outdoors. His greatest passion was deer hunting, where he found both peace and purpose.

Bo is survived by his children, Dallas (Jennifer) Scheet, Zachery Scheet and Sierra Scheet; his grandchildren, Chance Pepper, Scarlett Scheet and Evelynn Scheet; his brother Ronald (Mary Ann) Scheet; nieces, nephews and other relatives, who will carry forward his memory and the values he lived by. He was preceded in death by his parents, Irene and Gabe Scheet, as well as several aunts and uncles.

A Celebration of his life service was held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28 at the Anderson Funeral Home in Rugby. Burial took place on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery in Mandan with full military honors.
