Garth Senechal
Garth Allen Senechal, 44 of Rugby, passed away surrounded by his family on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at the Heart of America Medical Center in Rugby, North Dakota. He was born on August 15, 1981 to Orlan and Carolyn Senechal. He was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend whose quiet strength, humor, and faith touched everyone who knew him.
Garth was the devoted husband of LaRae and proud father of Hannah, Harper, Raegen and Ryann. He loved his family deeply and cherished every adventure big or small, that they shared together. Whether riding motorcycles, watching their various activities, enjoying the outdoors, or simply being at home with his family. Garth found joy in being present and making memories.
He was known for being very funny, gentle, smart, and thoughtful, a quiet thinker with a strong and steady spirit. Garth was a fighter in every sense of the word, meeting life’s challenges with courage, faith and grace. His kindness, loyalty, and calm presence will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Garth is survived by his wife, LaRae, and their children, Hannah, Harper, Raegen, and Ryann; His parents, Orlan and Carolyn Senechal; his sisters, Christy and Orie (David) Oksendahl; his father-in-law, Greg Brossart and mother-in- law, Jodi Brossart; his brothers-and sisters-in- law, Miranda (Eric) Martz, Lyndsi (Brian) Huber, and Jerrod (Stephanie) Brossart; his beloved nieces and nephews, Noah and Liv, Landyn, Clifdyn, Madisyn, Kendyn, and Bensyn, Allyson and Tyler, Esten and Amalie; also by, Neil and Jean Lotvedt (Nana and Buppa); grand- father-in-law, Kenny Mattern, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; nieces, Annika and Ella Oksendahl, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Garth’s legacy lives on through the love he shared, the laughter he brought, and the strength he showed. He will be forever loved and remembered.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 28, at the Rugby Armory with lunch and fellowship to follow at the Rugby Eagle’s. Burial to be held in the spring.
Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M on Friday February 27, at the Calvary Evangelical Free Church in Rugby, with a prayer service and sharing of memories beginning at 7:00 p.m.
