Kira Lemar
Feb. 22, 2023-Jan. 1, 2026
Rugby
Kira Kati Jo Lemar was born on February 22, 2023, in Minot, North Dakota, and from her very first moments, she filled the world around her with light, laughter, and unmistakable personality. Though her time on earth was far too brief, her impact was boundless, and her memory will forever live in the hearts of those who loved her.
Kira was the cherished daughter of Jessica Hale and Kyler Lemar, and the adored baby sister of Andrew (Nevaeh) Lemar, Wesley, William, and Lovelle. She was deeply loved by her entire family, each of whom was touched by her joyful spirit, her curiosity, and her sweet but unmistakably bossy charm.
Kira is survived by her loving parents; her siblings; her grandparents, Virgil Lemar, Cindy Lemar, Angelina Vache, and Duane Hale, Sr.; her great-grandfather, Kenny Mattern; her nephew, Woods Lemar; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins who treasured every moment with her. Her aunts and uncles include, Kimberly (Steven) Gates, Duane Hale, Jr., Sierra Hale, Momo Hale, Sherrice (Justin) Roness, Chandler Lemar, Chase (Kendra) Egeberg, and Amy Otey. She is also lovingly remembered by her many cousins: Destiny, Ethan, Steven, Adalynn, Abigail, Feather Lynn, Able, Dusty, Xavier, Sabrina, Kaden, and Kynzlee.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents; her great aunt, Dianne Hale; her grandmother, Evelyn Paulson; and her uncles, Michael Tenney, Dusty Sebastian, Greyson Sletto, Tyler Kelly, and Joey Mattern, who surely welcomed her with open arms.
Kira’s personality was larger than life. She was sassy–but the cutest kind of sassy–and proudly ruled her world with confidence. She communicated love through knuckles, thumbs-up gestures, salutes and pinky promises meant to last forever with Dad. She was the boss, and everyone knew it. In Kira’s world, everybody was “Bob.”
She loved Cocomelon, treasured her FaceTime calls with Grandma Cindy, and delighted in every new milestone–her first word, first crawl, first stand. She adored dogs, strongly disliked the cat (which was just fine), and had a special love for farm life. Tractor rides, combine rides, cows, and time spent going “with Daddy” were among her greatest joys. She especially loved it when Daddy drove fast–and she wasn’t shy about telling him to go faster. Tractors and combines had to be John Deere.
Kira also knew exactly what she liked at the dinner table. Her favorite foods were chicky nuggies, brocki, green beans, French fries and celery sticks shared with Dad. And when she was thirsty, she didn’t just ask for a drink–she asked for a “Daddy soda,” which always meant a Diet Coke.
To her siblings and cousins, Kira was everything: loving, funny, and endlessly adorable. She made people laugh, gave the sweetest hugs, played with toys, pulled hair with mischievous delight, and filled family photos with magic. She was deeply loved, fiercely protected, and will be loved forever.
Kira Kati Jo Lemar was a light–bright, bold, and unforgettable. Though her life was short, her legacy is one of love, laughter, and a bond that nothing–not even time–can ever break.
Forever loved. Forever remembered. Pinky promise.
