Helen Marie Kremer, 86, Rugby died at the Heart of America Medical Center in the early morning hour of November 24, 2025. Helen was born in Rugby to Jacob Duchscher and his wife, Amelia Schiff Duchscher on January 30, 1939. She grew up on a farm south of Rugby and graduated from Rugby High School in 1957. Helen married Philip Kremer in Rugby on October 13, 1958. They farmed in the Balfour-Karlsruhe area for a few years before moving to Minot in 1964. She operated a home day care facility for children for about 30 years. They retired and moved to Rugby in 2004. Helen was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church in Rugby.

She is survived by their children, Mark and his wife Mikki Kremer – Minot; Steven and his wife Julie Kremer- Ardrossan, Alberta, Canada; and Curtis and his wife Shari Kremer – Colorado Springs, Colorado. She also leaves 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren in addition to her sisters, Evelyn Blessum – Minot; Carolyn Bickler and Bernice Kirchofner – both of Devils Lake.

She was preceded in death by her husband on June 29, 2011, her brothers, Jim and Howard Duchscher, and a sister, Julieann Halvorson.

Funeral services will be held at Little Flower Catholic Church on Friday, November 28, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Niewoehner Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4 to 7:00 at which time a prayer service will be held for family and friends.
