Chuck and Bonnie both graduated from Rugby High School and were married in Rugby in 1960.

After college graduation, they returned to Rugby where Chuck practiced Law and served as elected State’s Attorney for 20 years.

He served on various boards in Rugby and the surrounding area, but was passionate about child welfare and prevention of child abuse for the state of ND.

Bonnie worked as a speech therapist in Rugby and surrounding areas until she was forced to retire because of her Rheumatoid Arthritis.

Bonnie enjoyed playing Bridge and loved afternoon coffee with friends.

Chuck’s foster parents were Art and Calma Ellingson, Bonnie’s parents were Gene and Adeline Ellingrud, all of Rugby.
