Dale Fred

Dale Fred passed peacefully at home near Ault, CO on October 29, 2024, at the age of 85. Dale was born in Rugby, ND to Bert and Amanda (Stromme) Fred on April 29, 1939. Memorial services will be held on November 21, 2024, 1:00 PM at Evangel Assembly of God, 3225 14th St. N., Bismarck, ND. Burial will be at Mandan ND Veterans Cemetery.

Dale was a graduate of Willow City High School and was a member of the 1956 State Championship Basketball team. He served in the Army National Guard of North Dakota for 3 years and as a Reserve of the Army for 5 years. He married Marlene Swanson on December 27, 1958 and was a farmer his entire life in both ND and CO, receiving the Outstanding Young Farmer of the Year Award for ND. Dale’s top priorities were his love and devotion to his Lord and Savior as well as for his entire family. He also had an appreciation for vintage cars and enjoyed fishing. He is preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and grandson. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, 7 children, 16 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, sister, brother, sister-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
