Alma Bickler, 93 of Rugby died Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at the Heart of America Medical Center in Rugby, North Dakota.
Alma Luella (Lord) Bickler was born October 23, 1930 to Alfred and Aldia (Gagnier) Lord in Bottineau, North Dakota. She graduated from Rugby High School, married Melvin Bickler and had four children. Alma was active in Little Flower Catholic Church. She belonged to the Catholic Daughters, Christian Mothers, Eagles Auxiliary and was on the Rugby Hospital Auxiliary Board and named volunteer of the year in recognition of over 5000 hours of volunteer work. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved gardening and enjoyed her beautiful flowers.
Alma is survived by her son, Karl (Karen) Bickler; daughters, Jane (Jeff) Chounard and Dianne (Jim) Wolf; grandchildren, Mark Bickler, Kurt Bickler, Zachary Seanger, Ali Seanger, Chad Wolf, Christopher Wolf, Jay Somsen and Kelsey Somsen; great grandchildren, Nora Wolf and Summer Somsen; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Bickler; a daughter, Bonnie Somsen; sisters, Emma Cooper and Ann McNight and her parents Alfred and Aldia Lord.

Mass of Christian burial was held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 14 at Little Flower Catholic Church in Rugby with burial in the church cemetery.
