Gary Lueck, the son of Harry and Ida (Roth) Lueck was born on December 29, 1944, in Minot, North Dakota. He died at the age of 79 years after a brief illness on January 31, 2024, at the Trinity Medical Center, Minot.

Gary was raised in rural Denbigh in the home of his parents. He received his education at the White Rock Township School. After completing his education Gary worked with his dad on the family ranch. Gary and his parents later moved from the ranch into Towner where he worked at the Towner Nursery where Gary excelled in happiness. Gary knew everyone and they knew him by his warm smile and willingness to listen and talk with them and enjoy a game or two of cards together. He had many friends wherever he went and in 2012 when Gary moved into the Haaland Estates in Rugby he added to his many friendships. Gary was a faithful member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Towner and will be greatly missed by his many friends and relatives.

He is survived by sister-in-law Lorna Lueck and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Ida; sisters, Mary Kay Tonnesson; Wilma Wolfe; and Sandra Sandberg; brother, Gordie Lueck; brothers- in- law, Kenny Tonnesson; Francis Wolfe; and Sandford Berg.

The family would like to thank the Haaland Estates for their 12 years of good care; the recent care at the Trinity Medical Center; and the care given by the Anderson Funeral Home.

Funeral Services were held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 7th at Zion Lutheran Church in Towner with burial in the Granville Community Cemetery in Granville, ND. Mr. Wally Fretland, Officiating.
