Gerald Wendolyn Kramer, 77, of Rugby died Saturday, January 13th, 2024 at Heart of America Medical Center in Rugby, North Dakota. He was the first born of Wendelin and Marian (Schmaltz) Kramer and was born on July 13th, 1946 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Rugby, North Dakota.

He was raised on the family farm by Rugby and graduated from Rugby High School Class of 1964. He attended NDSU college and played football. Then later attended NDSCS. In his younger years he enjoyed trapping, hunting, fishing, along with getting in trouble with the game wardens with his best friend Dennis Voeller.

He moved to Minnesota where he had a successful construction business where he built houses, remodels, and did general construction.

He made his home in Rugby, ND in the fall of 2005. Where he enjoyed doing part time construction work, spending time with family, and helping with harvest by driving combine and grain cart.

He married Betty Mantei December 26th, 2009 at the First Lutheran Church in Rugby. They made their home by Rugby raising yorkie puppies, enjoying the garden, shooting gophers, hunting, reloading shells, and he loved barbecuing ribs and brisket.

He is survived by his wife Betty; brother, Ronald (Anna) Kramer of Rugby; sons, David (Brittany) Kramer of Balta, Mike Kramer and Jeremy (friend Becky) Kramer of Cannon Falls, MN; step children, Renae (Mark) Whitacre of Kearney, NE, Ross (Sheri) Mantei of Floresville,TX and Ryan (Julie, niece) Mantei of Rugby; nieces: Becky (David) Kraft of Rugby, Renae (Steven) Christianson of Rugby and Lonna (Todd) Potter of Rapid City, SD; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; cousins other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, nephew, James Allen Kramer and daughter-in-law, April Kramer.

A Private Family Memorial Service was held.
