Julius Haman, 77, of Grandfield, Oklahoma, passed away on June 13, 2023, at a hospital in Oklahoma City surrounded by his children. Julius was born to Anton and Elizabeth Haman, on September 6, 1945, in Rugby, North Dakota.
He was drafted to serve in the Vietnam war and married his high school sweetheart, Arlene, before leaving in 1966. Upon returning from the war, he started his married life with his wife on the family farm in Rugby where they began raising their four children.
Julius was known for his love of family and friends. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and his only great-grandchild, Jaxon. Julius loved trying new things with opening a restaurant in Minot, ND with Arlene. Almost five years ago, they wanted to get away from the ND winters and chose to move to Grandfield, Oklahoma where they were active in the Senior Center.
Julius is survived by his four children Lori Stekly (William) of MN, Lisa Farquharson (Sean) of OK, Shane Haman (Sarah) of SD, and Scott Haman (Na) of MN, as well as grandchildren, Mikaela, Faith, Savanna, Dylan, Kyler, Arriana, Ocean, Claire, Amelia, Justin, and Destiny. One great-grandchild, Jaxon. His brother, John (Evelyn), sisters, Verena (Fritz) and Linda (Bob), and sister-in-law, Janice. Julius was predeceased by parents Anton and Elizabeth Haman, his brother, Alex, and sister-in-law, Vivian.

Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday, June 23, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Little Flower Catholic Church with burial in the Persilla Watts Cemetery in Rugby.
