Quentin Schell
July 19, 1967 – Dec. 9, 2022
Quentin Lee Schell, the son of Fred Schell and Judy (Swearson) Schell was born on July 19th, 1967 in Rugby, North Dakota. He died at the age of 55 years on Friday, December 9th, 2022 in Pierce County, North Dakota.
Quentin was raised on the family farm and attended all 14 years of school at Towner Public School. Growing up, Quentin enjoyed riding motorcycle, horse, hunting, fishing and spending time at his grandparents’ farms. During high school, he was active in FFA, football and often found himself doing mischievous activities. After his education years, he began to farm alongside his dad, east of Towner until the time of his death. Farming, taking care of the land and cattle were Quentin’s true passions. He also loved to hunt, ice fish and play many years of softball. Quentin was one of the three founding members of the Gallows Motorcycle Club in Towner and for many years was an avid Harley Davidson rider. His legend as “Uncle Buck” started with his nieces and nephews, but continued through his life with all the youngsters that got to know Quentin. He was known to whip up a late-night batch of caramel rolls or placing an order for a double pepperoni pizza from Hot-Stuff. Quentin will be remembered for his sense of humor, having a good time and many belly laughs. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to those he loved. He was one of the good ones.
Quentin is survived by his son, Logan Kitzman (Candy Thomas) of Palmer, Alaska; his parents, Fred Schell (Becky Haman) of Towner and Judy Schell of Velva; brother, Peary (LeeAnn) Schell of Westhope; sister, Stacey (Randy) Schmitt of Towner; nieces and nephews, Danielle (Chase) Holsten, Hadlee (Dusty) Brandt, Reese (Paige Vad) Schell, Mattie (Chelsie) Schmitt, Lane (Brandie Christians) Schmitt, Grace (Eddie Swartzentruber) Schmitt and Ty Schmitt; multiple great nieces and nephews; many aunts, uncles, cousins; other relatives and many friends.
