She was born December 7, 1953 to Alfred and Harriet (Crock) Proctor in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. Deb graduated from East High School in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She went on to attend Chadron State College in Chadron, Nebraska. Through mutual friends, Dennis and Shirley Shelborn, Deb met James “Jim” Jorde in 1973 and they began distance courting. Not long after, a late Christmas present arrived with their first-born son, Christopher, on December 26, 1977. While the family was content, God chose to bless Deb and Jim with a ‘surprise’ when their second son, Andrew, on July 23, 1989, joined the family.
Deb found her true calling in her professional life in sales as a Mary Kay consultant and Radio Sales associate selling advertising within the radio industry. She loved to bring out the beauty in others with her cosmetics and showcasing the small business communities for which she served. Deb’s true passion and love in her life was her family, friends and faith. She enjoyed cooking and trying new recipes to help bring friends and family together and would often provide her gifts of food to many. Deb had a true talent for arts and crafts and constantly had several projects going occupy her time both before and after retiring.
