Oct. 27, 1954 – Oct. 27, 2022

Kenneth Ray Pierson, the son of Larry and Audrey (Bisbee) Pierson was born on October 27, 1954 in Rugby, North Dakota. He died on his 68th birthday on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at his home in Rugby, North Dakota.

The first few years of Kenny’s life he lived with his parents until moving in with his aunt and uncle, Wally and Noreen Bisbee for the rest of his adolescent years. He attended school in York and Leeds, North Dakota. He was once married to Deb Rogelstad and from that marriage, were two sons, Kip and Jody. Kenny worked in a gold mine in Alaska and then in Sitka for a commercial mining company. He owned his own semi-truck and hauled for Feekes Trucking, worked road construction for many years in Oklahoma and North Dakota and also worked for Kenny Mattern for over 20 years. Kenny met his soulmate, Char Mygland and they have been together for 24 years. He was a gentle giant, a man with simple needs like a good meal, a pair of bib overalls and a good visit with family and friends. His joy in life was his time with his sons and grandchildren, whom he teased from time to time, but loved and was proud of them. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, had a good sense of humor, was forgiving and a hard worker, who was always working. His nickname was Tiny or Buck and there are decades of Kenny stories, that when told will bring a smile or laugh and those stories will live on forever.
