Clyde Binfet
May 19, 1961 – July 26, 2022
Clyde Arthur Binfet, 61,
was born in Rugby ND, on
May 19, 1961 to Mike and
Regina Binfet. He lived on
the family farm in Es-
mond ND. When Clyde
was six years old he
moved to Rugby with his
family and he attended
grade school. He was ac-
tive in Special Olympics;
bowling, basketball, and
fun events. It was the be-
ginning of his collection
of many Special Olympics
medals.
Clyde moved to Willis-
ton to attend high school
and graduated in May of
1982.
He lived and worked in
Williston and had a job at
Bonanza busing tables.
Clyde got his wish – he
wanted to be indepen-
dent, and have his own
apartment with a room-
mate. He did.
On September 4, 2012,
he moved to Devils Lake
where he was a client at
REM and lived in a home
with some roommates.
When his health started to
decline he moved to
REM’s full time care facili-
ty.
Clyde’s family was very
important to him. He
loved family gatherings
and is survived by four
brothers, Jerome – (Con-
nie), Lapeer, Michigan,
Albert (friend Bonita)
Mesa Az, Ruddy – (Jean)
Devils Lake, ND, Michael
– (Mick) Denver, Co, Mark
– (Rita), Overland Park,
Kansas. Three sisters,
Gloria – Ithaca, Mi, Alice –
Williston, ND, Shirley –
(Ralph) Bismarck, ND,
and sisters-in-law Paula of
Rugby ND and Linda Bin-
fet of Balsam Lake, Wi. He
is also survived by 16
nieces, 16 nephews and
numerous amounts of
great nieces and nephews.
He loved them all.
He is preceded in death
by his parents, and broth-
ers Joe and Martin,
brother-in-law Norman
Streifel, and sister-in-law
Shirley Binfet.
Funeral services were
held at Little Flower
Catholic Church in Rugby
on Tuesday, August 2,
2022 at 11:00 A.M. Burial
followed in the church
cemetery.
Friends welcomed at
the funeral home on Mon-
day August 1, 2022 from
5-7 and 8-10 on Tuesday
the 2nd. A prayer service
was held on Monday at 7
PM.
