It is with great sadness

we announce the peaceful

passing of Lyla Evenson,

aged 97, on July 9th, 2022.

She was surrounded by

family and Pastor Nathan

Steen at Trinity Health in

Minot, ND.

Lyla Lenore Drengson

was born on September

12, 1924, at Petersburg,

North Dakota. Lyla gra-

duated from Northwest

Institute of Medical Tech-

nology with a degree in

Medical Technology. She

also received her

Bachelor’s Degrees in

Health Facilities Manage-

ment and Administration

from Moorhead State

University. On May 27,

1950, Lyla married Ken-

neth Evenson from Dun-

seith, ND. To this mar-

riage, two daughters were

born: Vicki Lee and Kris-

tine Lynn. After moving

to Rugby, ND, Lyla

worked at the Johnson

Clinic and Good Samari-

tan Hospital Association

for 37 years as a medical

technologist. She was

very active in the Glad

Tidings Assembly of God

Church for many years.

Lyla and Kenneth were

blessed with two

grandchildren from Vicki:

Athena Born and Anthony

Clark. They were blessed

with four more grandchil-

dren from Kristine: Sarah

Evenson, Jesse Servold,

Amanda Loughman, and

James Degenstein.

Lyla is preceded in

death by her parents; hus-

band; daughters, Vicki

and Kristine; two broth-

ers, Dean and Keith; two

sisters, Beverly and Avis;

and grandson, Anthony

Clark IV. She is survived

by her five grandchildren,

Sarah, Athena, Jesse,

Amanda, and James; and

eight great-grandchildren,

Brittany Loughman,

Christian Loughman,

Christina Evenson, Emma

Loughman, Hayley Lough-

man, Xander Degenstein,

Valera Servold and Andy.

Funeral Services will be

held at the Glad Tidings

Assembly of God Church

in Rugby on Saturday,

July 16, 2022 at 11:00

A.M. Visitation will be at

the church from 9-11 pri-

or to the service. Burial

will follow at Persilla

Watts Cemetery in Rugby.
